SHARON ANN BURD ADKINS, 67, of Apple Grove, W.Va., passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, in Pleasant Valley Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, with Pastor Ray Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Sharon was born July 21, 1951, in Cabell County W.Va., a daughter of the late Herman and Olive Christian Burd. She was a sorter with the former Owens-Illinois Glass Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 18 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her beloved husband Jerry L. Adkins; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. Adkins (Sarah); five grandchildren, Melissa Gibson, Tiffany Adkins “Tyler”, Dylan Kitchen and Brandon and Wyatt Adkins; one great-grandchild, Easton Jenkins; three sisters, Tina, Brenda and Sonja; four brothers, Ronald, Jason, Homer and Arthur Burd, and several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Carolyn Jean Starkey Nicholson 74, of Ceredo, WV, went home to be with her Savior on Saturday November 17, 2018. Visitation will be conducted Tuesday evening November 20, 2018 from 6pm – 8pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, WV. Funeral services will also be held at Rollins Funeral Home on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 11am by Pastor Paul Cantrell, with burial to follow at Union Cemetery in Lesage, WV. Carolyn was born on November 6, 1944, to the late Harry and Pauline Starkey. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and for many years, had a servant’s heart. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald G. Nicholson, her children Daniel K. Nicholson (Jamie) and Pamela S. Nicholson, eight grandchildren: Kristy J. DeLong (Jimmy), Sean Gue (Kelli), Jessica Nicholson, Jonathan Nicholson (Lacey), Alyson Gue, Miranda Gue, a very special Sarah Gue, and Maddie Nicholson, three great-grandchildren Brenna, Mason, and Logan Gue, her sisters Phyllis Spurlock and Mary Clagg, and three sisters-in-law Doris Rider, Bonnie Wallace (Windell), and Pat Stutler (Larry). Carolyn was loved by numerous family members and friends, including a very special family friend Trisha Knopp Scott (Andy). Carolyn was a devoted Christian, a member of Kenova Church of God, dearly devoted to the Good Samaritan Center in Kenova, WV, and had a passion for the back pack ministry. BASCOM JAY DAVIS, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the age of 78, in Huntington, W.Va. Jay was born June 24, 1940, in Kenova, W.Va., to the late Velma and Bascom Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son John Davis; his first wife, Linda Curnutte Davis; and his brother George Marvin Davis. He worked hard all of his life and loved what he did. He retired last year from his business, Davis Landscaping in Michigan. He loved his hobby of restoring antique cars. Tech, past member of the Kenova Volunteer Fire Department and attended Welcome Home Christian Fellowship in Lucasville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one brother Todd Matthew Henderson; maternal grandfather Forrest Ross; paternal grandparents Marvin L. and Mary M. Caldwell Henderson and father-in-law David Wilson. Judy Lynn Robertson Null,74, of Kenova, WV., went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Ceredo with Pastor Rodney Hale and Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Interment will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery. Judy was a daughter of the late Virgil and Della Mae Fortner Robertson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Sara Frances “Francie” Roberts and a sister-in-law Linda Null. Survivors include her beloved husband Charles Albert Null; one brother and sister-in-law James Robertson ( Cheryl); two brothers-in-law Hobert “Whitey” Null and Steve Roberts; two sisters-in-law Donna Smith (Colin) and Trenna Null; three nieces Michele McAnallan (David), Sharon Elkins and Lisa Bailey (David); Five nephews Brian Null (Nancy), Charles L. Moore (Barbara), Michael Sean Roberts, Matthew Roberts and Zachary Robertson (Rebecca). She has a host of great nieces and nephews that she loved including being called “meme” by Hannah Beth & Matthew Shane Roberts and William L. “Liam” Roberts. Judy was a graduate from Ceredo-Kenova High School class of 1962. She was a volunteer of Saint Mary’s Hospital in Radiation Oncology and was a lifetime auxiliary member. She was a 24 year breast cancer survivor. Her favorite scripture that she lived by was the 23rd Psalm “The Lord is my shepherd…”.
