Amos Lee Prince, a devoted husband, loving father, brother, and faithful servant of God, leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, family, and service to others. Born on August 22, 1943, Amos was the son of the late William Prince and Amanda Pack Prince. Throughout his life, he remained steadfast in his devotion to his family, his church, and his Lord. Amos shared 63 years of marriage with his loving wife, Virginia “Jenny” Prince. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. Their enduring marriage was a testament to the commitment and devotion they shared throughout their years together. Amos was a hardworking and dedicated employee of Special Metals, where he spent decades before retiring. He took pride in his work and the friendships he developed throughout his career. Above all, Amos was a man of deep and unwavering faith. For 55 years, he was an active member of the Kenova Church of Christ, faithfully serving as a minister for 50 of those years. His dedication to preaching and teaching the Word of God was not simply a calling, but the foundation upon which he built his life. Through his ministry, he offered guidance, encouragement, and spiritual comfort to countless individuals and families. Amos believed that a life devoted to Christ was a life well lived. His faith was evident not only in the words he preached from the pulpit but also in the example he set through his kindness, humility, and service to others. His favorite passage of Scripture, Daniel 12:3, serves as a fitting reflection of the life he lived: “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” — Daniel 12:3 (KJV) Amos was preceded in death by his parents, William Prince and Amanda Pack Prince. While his passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his family and friends can find comfort in the faith he so faithfully proclaimed for half a century. His life was a testimony to the power of God’s love, and his influence will continue to be felt through the generations of lives he touched. Amos Prince will be remembered as a man who loved his family, served his community, and dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the seeds of faith he planted throughout his lifetime will continue to grow, and the light of his example will shine on.
