Verna Ann (Frye) Kiser

Verna Ann (Frye) Kiser, 82, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Kenova, West Virginia, passed from this life on December 12th, following a brief battle with cancer. A disease she fought with grace and kindness, and above all else, with a peace born of faith and a certainty that life is eternal.

Ann grew up in Harts, West Virginia, and considered herself immensely blessed to have been born into a large, loving family which included both of her parents and the five siblings she adored throughout her entire life. She often expressed gratitude for a long, full life that was filled with many friends, a close-knit family, and until her final weeks, good health. Ann will be remembered as a soft-spoken, unassuming person who never turned away someone in need, had a great sense of humor, always smiled, and who never met a stranger. If you only even encountered her once, she would know your life story by the time you parted. Continue reading “Verna Ann (Frye) Kiser”
