Clyde Ivan McGlone, 82, of Kenova, W.V. passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Russell High School Gymnasium. Ivan was born May 3, 1938 in Kenova, W.Va. a son of the late Wilford and Pricy Parsley McGlone. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Ivan was a Huntington police officer then coached at Vinson and at Russell for 38 years. He was a member of the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame, Russell Hall of Fame and Russell Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended the Kenova United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife Gloria Jeffers McGlone; grandson Kevin McGlone, three sisters Alfreda McGlone, Fannie McGlone and Annie Taylor and three brothers Jack Moore, Fred McGlone and Walt McGlone Survivors include his wife Jill Hatfield McGlone; son, Ivan Randall McGlone (Susie); daughter, Tonya Wells; grandchildren Kristina McGlone, Mallory Watts (Jeremy), Anthony Wells (Nicole), Ashley Thompson (Morgan); great-grandchildren Kevin Payton, Clay Payton, Fiona Watts, Emmy Watts and Rhett Watts, three step sons Mickey Benton (Barb), Ron Benton (Matt) and David Benton (Travis) and sister-in-law Priscilla McGlone. Visitation will be noon-3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Russell High School Gymnasium. Pauley, Tony L

Tony Lane Pauley, 54, of Huntington, W.V. passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Tony was born December 2, 1966 a son of the late Gary Pauley and late Ivory Hunt. Tony was a retired general laborer. He attended Buffalo High School. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law James Hunt (Terri); and three nephews Shane and Brittany Hunt and Jeremy Watts and one great nephew Makhi Martin. Rakes, Matthew S

Matthew Scott Rakes, 38, of Catlettsburg, Ky. passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center. Scott was born July 9, 1982 in Ashland, Ky. a son of the late Charles Edward Rakes, Jr. and the late Barbara Ann O’Brien Rakes. He was a graduate of Boyd County High School. Scott loved to fish and hunt and be out in the great outdoors. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents Charles Edward Rakes, Sr. and Janice Rose Combs Rakes and maternal grandparents Charles Harmon and Betty Maye O’Brien. Survivors include his brother Charles Grant Rakes (Tina Beth); two nephews Bryant Edward Ace Rakes, Derek Waylon Rakes and one niece Lydia Ann Rakes and numerous other family members. Stewart, Paula E

Paula Evelyn Stewart, 57, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  Paula was born December 19, 1963 a daughter of the late Jonah and Arminta Boggs Stewart. Paula was a line cook at the Griffith and Feil Soda Fountain. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by siblings. Survivors include her beloved daughter Jessica Maynard; precious grandchildren Tyler, Katelyne and Robert “Alex” Bustetter and several siblings. Frazier, Joseph L

Joseph Lee Frazier, 90, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home. Joe was born June 26, 1930 in Wayne, W.Va. a son of the late Boyd and Louie Clay Frazier. He was a retired Police Chief from the Town of Ceredo where he served until 1994 and also a retired Millwright from Local 1519. Most people came to know Joe as the local lawn mower repairman who would tinker in his garage most days. He was a 50 year member of the Kenova Masonic Lodge #110 AF & AM whose members will conduct graveside rites. Joe was loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Beatrice “Honey” Frazier and beloved dog Buddy. He is survived by three daughters Sandra Lee Hammock, Shiela Perry (Bob) and Sheri Clendenen (Kendall); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Anna Eleanor Irons Lewis, 88, of Stockbridge, GA. passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Kenova with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Interment will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery. Eleanor was born November 6, 1932 in Kenova a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Smith Irons.  She graduated from Buffalo High School, Class 1950, honor graduate from Wiseman Business School and was a graduate of Marshall University receiving her BA and Masters. She was a former teacher at Prichard, Buffalo and Ceredo-Kenova. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a  cousin. Survivors include her beloved husband Maxwell L. “Max” Lewis; one son Michael Lewis; one daughter Myra Jeanne Beckley (Steve); two grandchildren Amanda Mader (Joseph) and Caleb Beckley and two great-grandsons Michael and Robert Mader. McCoy, Robert E “Gene”

Robert Eugene “Gene” McCoy, 76, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Sanctuary of The Ohio Valley. Gene was born August 14, 1944 in Wayne Co., W.Va. a son of the late Leonard and Mary Stafford McCoy. He was a retired truck driver with Special Metals. He was an avid fan of car cruise-in’s. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Sattie Mossman and a brother Thomas McCoy. Survivors include his beloved wife Marilyn Howell McCoy; one daughter Sherri Lykins (James); one brother Donald McCoy (Mary); grandson Austin Lykins; special nephew Ray Mossman (Reba) and several nieces and nephews. James “Jamie” Blankenship, 59, of Huntington, W.Va. was ushered into the presence of the King Thursday morning, January 14, 2021. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Kenova, of which he was a member, with Pastor David Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Jamie was born July 6, 1961 in Huntington a son of the late Orval “Jack” and Arlene Burdette Blankenship. He was a former salesman with Clayton Homes and present owner of Rocky Tops Pizza in Kenova. Jamie was an avid Marshall Fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cline and Virgie Blankenship; maternal grandparents J.B. and Bernice Tanner; two brothers Randy Blankenship and Robert “Bobby Jack” Blankenship; two special aunts Peggy Turman and Marlene Crook (Carly) and father-in-law David Akers. Survivors include his beloved wife Jeannette Akers Blankenship; precious daughter April Blankenship (Marshall Young); special cousin, whom he considered more like a sister, Angela Adams (Bruce); three aunts Mary Cussick (Jack), Jennifer Tanner and Sue Russell and two nieces Tracy Arthur and Renee Law (Paul). He is also survived by his mother-in-law Annette Akers; brother and sister-in-law David Akers (Pam); two nieces Cassidy Adkins (T.J.) and Whitney Buck (Ryan); two nephews Dr. Brad Akers (Breanne) and Zachary Akers (Amanda); a host of great nieces and nephews and two special friends Mike Brumfield (Mandy) and Jeff Barrett. Samuel H. Lancaster, II, 39, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021. Graveside service will be conducted 12:30 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Browning Cemetery with Pastor Gary Graves officiating. He was born January 18, 1981 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of Samuel H. Lancaster, Jr. and the late Vickie Allen Lancaster. He coached basketball in years past. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Samuel H. Lancaster, Sr.. In addition to his father he is survived by two brothers Ryan Lancaster (fiancé Amy Vaness) and Aaron Lancaster (Ashley); niece which he was crazy about Annistyn Lancaster; paternal grandmother Betty Lancaster; maternal grandparents Bob & Rita Allen; special friend Jessica Ball. James “Jamie” Anthony “Fitz” Fitzgerald, 47, of Ashland, Ky. passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Funeral service will be conducted 2: P.M. Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Catlettsburg Elementary School with Eulogist Tim Holmes. Interment will follow in Catlettsburg Cemetery. He was born September 5, 1973 in Pontiac, Michigan a son of the late John P. Fitzgerald and the late Virginia Lee Conn. He was a member of the Laborers Local 1445 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 2329. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-dad Walter Peterman, grandmother Mary Conn and niece Cassandra Nicole Fitzgerald. Survivors include his fiancé Lora Carter Conley; children Adison Taylor Fitzgerald, Chloe Bramblett and Carter Conley; brother John P.
