Jeffrey Scott Walker, 53, of Huntington, WV. passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, with Pastor Patrick Elliott officiating. Private interment will take place in the Walker family cemetery. Jeff was born May 24, 1966 in Huntington, W.Va. son of Ken Walker and the late Freda Fuery Walker. He was a mill worker at Special Metals and a member of the Steel Workers Local 40. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a nephew John Kenneth (JK) Walker, II. In addition to his father he is survived by two brothers John Kenneth “Kenny” Walker (Kim) and Dwayne Walker (Kathy); niece Lacey Walker; nephew Stephen Walker and his beloved German Shepherds Mia and Mya. Lenore Joanne Stone Wood, 85, of Huntington, WV. passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Heritage Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 P.M. Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Spring Valley Freedom Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with Pastor Patrick Elliott officiating. Interment will take place in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born January 12, 1934 in Cabell Co., daughter of the late Everett Lakin and Lilly Coon Stone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Wood; two daughters Toni Pollock and JeanAnne Wood; a grandson Andrew Wood and six siblings. She was born February 15, 1947 in Prichard, WV., daughter of the late Everett Hurley and the late Opal Bellomy Sprague. Lona was a homemaker that loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Community Chapel Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Joe Hurley; stepfather Gene Sprague; precious granddaughter Faith Ann Prince and sister-in-law Myra Hurley. Dana Nicole Meadows, 33, of Huntingon, WV. was called home Monday, September 2, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 9, 1986 in Columbus, OH., daughter of Clyde Muncy and the late Debbie Beckelheimer Smair. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by brothers Clyde Fife and Troy Beckelheimer. In addition to her father she is survived by her husband Michael Meadows; her five children Jordan Lee Meadows, Michael Meadows (Mikey), Mitchell Meadows, Dustin Meadows Paiz and Micah Paiz; five siblings Brittany Beckelheimer, Jeff Muncy, Tasha Slone, Jennifer Beckelheimer and Ronnie Beckelheimer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special nieces Pricila McCloud and Brenda Fife and a host of family and friends. She will be missed and loved by many and never forgotten. She was born January 14, 1923, in Gary, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wade H. and Frances Roberts Brumfield. She was a retired nurse’s aide from the Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Delbarton Church of God and attended the Kenova Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Claude Starr and eleven siblings. He was born August 30, 1927 in Echo, WV. a son of the late Curtis and Stella Trodgen Christian. Rex was a retired cabinetmaker and a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Ceredo Congregational Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife Fern Workman Christian; one precious daughter and son-in-law Tess Van Dijk (Arjan); two grandchildren Christian White (Marian) and Natasja Van Dijk (Fiance’ Brandon Washington); one great-grandchild Ava Washington and one sister Marybelle Castle. He was born March 25, 1933 in Alderson, WV. a son of the late Otie and Minnie Berry Holcomb. Alex was a retired custodian from Marshall University. He was a member of the Ceredo Church of Christ and enjoyed collecting clocks and working on watches. Alex also enjoyed a good yard sale and Marshall University football. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Jeffers Holcomb; two sons Terry Anderson and Burton Anderson; one daughter Vicky Short; three grandchildren Roger, Ricky and David and four brothers. Ruth Parsley Little Swan passed away on August 2, 2019. She was born March 6, 1925 in Kenova, West Virginia, daughter of the late Lafe Parsley, Sr. and Agnes Roach Parsley. She was preceded in death by husbands Bernard Little and Marvin Swan; a special sister, Avonelle Parsley Looney; brothers, Lyle and James Parsley; stepsisters, Dorthy Perrine and Margaret Bash; and half brothers, Bill and John Parsley. She is survived by a son, Michael Little (Judy) of Ceredo, West Virginia; grandson, M. Bryan Little (Sara) and great granddaughter, Clare of Carmel, Indiana; brother, Lafe Parsley Jr. (Lavetta) of Fairhope, Alabama; stepson, Bill Swan of Sarasota, Florida and step granddaughter, Kristin Swan-Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina; stepdaughter, Marilyn Anderson (Tom) of Middleport, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was a proud graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School and attended the Huntington Business College and Marshall University. She retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Contract Specialist. She faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Kenova and the Ceredo Methodist Church and was devoted to her many friends and her beloved family. Funeral services will be held at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, West Virginia, Sunday, August 11 with visitation at 1:00 pm and Funeral at 2:00 pm with Pastor Pat Collier officiating. Burial service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, Inc., P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709-0464.
