Elizabeth “Libby” Billups Drown, 81 of Kenova, WV mother, grandmother, and sister joined her beloved husband, Billy Jack Drown in heaven on Monday September, 10, 2018. She was born May 11, 1937 a daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Hodge Billups. She graduated from C-K High School and worked for Dr. John Huntwork as his office manager for many years. Perdue, Charles G

Charles George Perdue,58, of Huntington, died August 20, 2018, at his home after loosing his battle with addiction. He will be remembered as a strong willed man who lived life on his own terms. He was an accomplished mechanic, motorcycle enthusiast, and always had a soft heart for animals. Unfortunately, he will now also be a statistic in the drug epidemic that is so prevalent in our state. Though many saw him through the lens of addiction, he truly loved his family and friends, even if we didn’t always see it. ELAINE GAIL RIGGS CRAYCRAFT, 75, of Kenova, W.Va., was united with her Savior, Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Elaine was born July 3, 1943, in Kenova, W.Va., a daughter of the late Andrew Wayne and Reba Ball Riggs. She was a graduate of C-K High School and retired from the Wayne County School system, where she was the secretary at Ferndale Elementary and Northern Wayne County Vocational School. Elaine was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenova and was a children’s Sunday school teacher there and at 20th Street Baptist Church for most of her life. Thelma Jean Parsley Bash, 84, of Kenova, WV passed away on Friday August 17, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born October 2, 1933 in Kenova a daughter of the late Keather and Pauline LeMaster Parsley. Thelma retired from Great American Floor Care after over 50 years of service. STEVEN GRANT STONER, 67, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018, in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, with Chaplain Larry “Spidey” Franz, from Bikers for Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Steve was born September 12, 1950, in Huntington, W.Va., son of the late James Thomas and Marge Grant Stoner. He was the owner and operator of Gino’s of Kenova. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #313 of Huntington and the Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club Station 29 of Huntington, his special brothers. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Grant “Jamie” Stoner (Carla); one daughter, Tiffany Stoner; his fiancee’ Karen Kiser and her daughter Kimberly McComas; grandchildren Cassidy, Mason, Dylan, Emma and Zoey; sister Pam Stoner; his special Gino’s family; his friends he made through the many years, and his best friend “Big Thor.” Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, W.Va. Charles Bernard Edwards, 83, of Rush, Ky. passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Community Hospice in Ashland. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Friday, August 10, 2018 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Bishop Ray G. Sexton, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Ceredo Crescent Hill Cemetery. Charles was born November 16, 1931 in Ceredo, WV. a son of the late Charles and Arbutus Cyrus Edwards. He was a retired truck driver with Tri-state Motor Transit and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ward Edwards; two daughters and son’s-in-law; four sons and three daughter’s-in-law; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and one sister Betty Pratt. Smith, Charlotte M

Charlotte Mae Smith, 91, of Kenova, West Virginia passed away at 4:15 am, August 6th, 2018, in Lexington, Kentucky. where she had moved to be closer to her brother, Vernon Smith. Charlotte was raised in Kenova, West Virginia, in a modest home on Poplar Street with her four brothers and parents. Her dad, James Lucien Smith, was Traffic Controller for Norfork & Western Railroads. Her mother, Ruth Hatten Smith, was a homemaker. Charlotte graduated from Ceredo Kenova High School and then Marshall University in 1945 with a degree in Education. She taught at Crum, Fort Gay, and then Vinson High School before moving to Washington D.C. and teaching for about 29 years in the Montgomery County School System in Silver Springs, Maryland. She retired and returned to Kenova to care for her mother in her final years. John Richard Monk, Jr, 43, of Huntington, WV. passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Graveside service will be conducted 1:45 P.M.
