Jonathan Wayne Stambaugh, 52, of Ashland, Ky. was called to his Heavenly Home Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Sunday December 9, 2018, at The New Testament Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Hay officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, Ky. Jonathan was a School Bus Driver and Assistant Mechanic with the Ashland Independent Schools and a member of the New Testament Freewill First Baptist Church. He was also active with the KHSAA Athletic Association and loved his church and was very active in the church. He loved children and was a devoted husband, grandfather, brother and son.  Jonathan was born October 27, 1966, in Ashland, Ky. a son of his very loving mother Lessie Marie Scarberry Stambaugh and the late James Ed Stambaugh. Besides his father he was also preceded in death by a sister Nancy Stambaugh; sister-in-law Marlene Stambaugh; grandson Jonathan David Staten and father-in-law Gordan Miller. Survivors include his beloved wife Cindy Miller Stambaugh; one son and daughter-in-law DJ Staten (Elizabeth); three beloved grandchildren Dylan J., David Alan and Devin Staten. He is also survived by his loving siblings Floyd Stambaugh, Neva Greene (Mike), Randall Stambaugh (Priscilla), Richard Stambaugh (Lynn), Keith Stambaugh (Loretta), Marlene Atkinson (Wayne), Mark Stambaugh (Johnda), Bill Stambaugh (June), Emory Stambaugh (Celia), Anita Shannon (Chuck) and Charlie Stambaugh; mother-in-law Carolyn K. Fields; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Testament Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund P.O. Box 612 Ceredo, WV. 25507. Friends may call from 1-9 P.M. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the New Testament Freewill Baptist Church 1156 “A” Street Ceredo, WV. 25507.   3. We are so heartbroken to hear this news. We really loved John, Gary talks about him alot and tells stories of them cutting grass together at the schools. He loved his family for sure, talked about them all the time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cindy and the family.
