Connie Lee Rakes Henderson

Connie Lee Rakes Henderson, 70, of Catlettsburg, Ky. passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, where her faith of 2nd Corinthians 5:8 became sight, “we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Elder Arvil Murray, Elder C.J. Murray and Elder David Trimble officiating. Interment will follow in the Henderson Family Cemetery in Fallsburg, Ky. Connie was born October 4, 1953 in Louisville, Ky. a daughter of the late Charles E. and Janice Rakes and the late Betty Lee Rakes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a precious son Timothy Lee Henderson and a brother Charles E. Rakes, Jr. Survivors include her beloved husband, Thomas L. Henderson; son and daughter-in-law William Tommy Henderson (Angie); grandson Kenton Henderson; brother and sister-in-law John Edwin Rakes (Melinda) and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Community Hospice Care Center 2330 Pollard Road Ashland, Ky. 41101.
