Rita Faye Lewis Damron, 62, of Prichard, W.Va. passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 in Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Kenova Church of Christ, of which she was a member. with Minister Chris Stevens officiating. Interment will be in the Ward-Lewis Cemetery. She was born December 31, 1957 in Huntington, W.Va. daughter of the late Thomas Fred and Mildred Ward Lewis. She was an Optometrist Technician with Baily Eye Care.. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one brother Gary Lee Lewis. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years Paul “PD” Damron; two sons and daughters in law Michael Paul Damron (April) and Jason Scott Damron (Katy); two grandchildren Chloe and Liam; three siblings Larry Lewis, Carla Workman (David), and Terry Lewis (Sonja) and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to nurses and staff at St. Mary’s Infusion Department, Dr. Janet Wallace, Dr. Silberman and staff at HIMG and Dr. James Pingpank and staff at UPMC in Pittsburg. Adkins, Randall G “Randy”
Glenn Randall Adkins passed away May 19, 2020 after a courageous battle with ALS, with loving support from his beloved family.
Born January 25, 1954, he was the son of Ella Mae Adkins and the late Virgil Glenn Adkins. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rhonda Dorsey Adkins, children Matthew Adkins (Jessica), Erin Adkins Collins, Sean Adkins, granddaughter, Amelia Pearl Adkins, granddogs Max, Bella Louise, Bayley May, Boomer and Molly. Special friends Mark Conner, Randy Maynard, Keith D. Ray and many special family members and friends.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Joshua Collins and in-laws Lowell and Jeanette Dorsey.
Randy was a graduate of C-K High School (1971), Marshall University (1975), and Asbury Theological Seminary (1979). He was ordained as a Deacon in the UMC in 1979 and an Elder in 1980.
Randy pastored United Methodist Churches in West Virginia for 38 years, including Lavalette UMC, Lavalette; Morris Memorial UMC, Charleston; Otterbein UMC, Huntington; Greenview UMC, Bluefield; First UMC, Princeton; and UM Temple, Beckley.
A service celebrating Randy’s life and faith will be held at a later date.

Beatrice McSorley, 85, of South Point, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 in the King’s Daughters Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted, 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Pastor Willie May officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Beatrice was born in Wayne Co., W.Va., on January 27, 1935, a daughter of the late Estell and Laura Jarrell McKenzie. She was a former employee with Coyne Textile and a member of the England Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Glen, Wayne and Tom McKenzie; five sisters Mary (Frank) Osborn, Elaine (Russell) Thompson, Rose Keith, Rebecca Rankin and Judy McKenzie. She is survived by five children Bennie McSorley, Jr. (Sandy), Fred (Martha) McSorley, Gary (Mary) McSorley, Valerie Graham (Lucian Cox) and Jean Bartrum (Thurman); nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters Carol Nichols, Nancy Kennedy and Sherri Douglass (Richard). Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday May 15, 2020 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Sullivan, Kelly N
Kelly Newman Sullivan, 60 of Kenova, WV entered the gates of heaven on May 4, on the 69th wedding anniversary of his late parents Robert (Pete) and Carolyn Sullivan. He was born on June 29, 1959 in Huntington, WV. He leaves behind his wife Carole (Davis) Sullivan, son Christopher Newman Sullivan (Destinee Davis) of Prichard, WV, Cassidy Sullivan of Catlettsburg, KY and Mandy Muncy of Smiths Station, AL. He is also survived by brother Bob Sullivan of Hurricane, WV and sister Suzanne Woods (Doug) of Ceredo, along with several nieces and nephews, his precious dog, Bella and his LifeHouse brothers. He belonged to Renewal Chapel in Huntington where he played in the band and was very very fond of Pastor Mark Booth. Kelly was a past member of the Ceredo Volunteer Fire Department and he was so proud of that. He loved all things music whether it was picking with his son Chris or playing with his band buddies or repairing guitars. Hard work never scared Kelly and he was talented in so many things having stayed on his dads shirttail all of his life. He will be sorely missed by many and his laughter and sense of humor will forever be etched in the minds of those he loved. He always said,

Estell Rose “Posey” Nesser Langley, formerly of Kenova, West Virginia, passed away at 101-years and 7 months old. She married Charles Donald Langley on December 18, 1934, who preceded her in death on May 27, 1994. Posey was born in Worthington, Ohio. She moved near China Grove, N.C., Feb 14, 2017, to be cared for by her son and daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents Fredrick William Nesser and Theresa Amelia Schmidt Nesser. Mary Ann Grant Dawson, 86, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Thursday April 30, 2020 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary Ann was born April 10, 1934 in Huntington, W.Va. a daughter of the late Sherman and Virginia McNemor Grant. Mary Ann was retired from The Pumpkin Patch. She was a member of Kenova United Methodist Church for 60 years and attended the Loyal Bible Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Golden Chords Choir where she dearly loved to sing. Mary Ann was a member of the Busy Fingers Quilting Group, with the ladies of her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert Edward (Bob) Dawson; two brothers, William Todd (Dorothy Jean) Grant and James R. (Louann) Grant; one sister, Roberta (Edwin) Marple. Mary Ann is survived by her loving children, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike (Karin) Dawson of Ceredo, W.Va. and Scott (Rhonda) Dawson of Vero Beach, FL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa (Gig) Smith of Huntington, W.Va. and Elizabeth (Pete) Walsh of Vero Beach, FL. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Dawson, Tyler (Jessica) Dawson, Kirk Smith, Jessica (Leron) Brown, Luke (Hannah) Smith, Drew (Gamze) Smith, Chrissy (Chad) Walters, Antonio (Jennifer) Ballester, Edward Dawson, Cameron Dawson, Ryan Walsh and Brendan Walsh; 11 great grandchildren, Caelan, Luke, Clara, Mac, Marshall, Olivia, Ayana, Garett, Liam, Maddie and Cayden; a special caregiver, Debra Davis and her special friends, Ronnie and Fanny Keyser. Sandra Sue Smith Fouch O’Dell, 78, of Wayne, W.Va. passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. She was born in Kenova, W.Va., on March 12, 1942, a daughter of the late Darrell Wayne and Geraldine Sinclair Smith. She was a caretaker at the former Sweet Run Personal Care Home and a member of the Maple Street Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands John Holley Fouch, Jr. and John O’Dell; one sister and brother-in-law Jerry Lou Adkins (Ellis); special nephew Brett Adkins and two grandsons Stephen and Joshua Paul Fouch. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Susan Hatten (Kenneth); two sons John Holley Fouch, III and Kevin Lee Fouch; grandchildren, Jason Kyle Fouch, John Holley Fouch, IV, Amanda Dawn Cunningham, Justin Fouch, Jennifer Fouch, Amber Mathis (Jonah), Matthew Vincent Fouch, Jordan Fouch, Madison Smith and Tyson Smith. Herbert Joseph “Joe” Alley, 87, of Ceredo, W.Va. peacefully went home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 20, 2020 at his home. He was a devoted husband, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and child of God. Joe was born in Wayne Co., W.Va., on February 16, 1933, a son of the late Joseph W. and Mollie Greer Alley. He was a graduate of Buffalo High School and retired from Ashland Oil after many years of employment. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Frances Holland Alley, to whom he was married for 56 years along with two sons, Steven Joseph Alley and John Gregory Alley; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Helen Rideout Stevenson Alley; one son, Mike (Sharon) Alley of Myrtle Beach, SC, and one daughter, Lisa (Chris) Hedrick of Prichard, WV; four grandchildren Eric Alley, Mollie Alley (Justin) Shuman, Nathan and Samuel Hedrick; and one great-granddaughter, Faylinn Shuman, and a host of other family members and friends. Joe was a devoted member of the Kenova Church of Christ, where he taught Sunday School and served as an elder for several years. William Clyde Coffey, Jr.,78, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his residence. Bill was born November 6, 1941 in Catlettsburg, Ky. a son of the late William Clyde and Julia Virginia Leedy Coffey. He was a former food service salesman and owner of the former Bill Coffey Food Brokerage, Inc. He was a member of the Kenova Masonic Lodge #110 AF & AM. Bill was a Master Mason and a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a Shriner Clown and did it for the love he had for the children. Bill was an avid supporter of Marshall Athletics and volunteered at various events to help raise money for the Marshall Speech and Hearing Clinic. He attended the Catlettsburg Harvest Church of God. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Estill Franklin Coffey and Robert Lee Coffey and two wives Janet Skeens Coffey and the mother of his children Bonnie Arthur. Bill is survived by the love of his life of 43 years Peggy Kitchen Coffey; four children Carl Coffey (Barbie), Candie Hamilton (Tim), Kim Boyd (David) and Jim Kitchen (Kimberly); seven grandchildren David, Steven, Josh, Carl Nathan, Jaclyn, Zack and Jacob; five great-grandchildren and one sister JoAnn Rakes (James D.). Sperry, Joel D
Early Easter morning, April 12, 2020 Joel Douglas Sperry’s journey came to an end. It began on March 27, 1952, son of the Late Jay and Helen Sperry. After graduating from Ceredo-Kenova High School in 1970, he joined the Marines. He was always proud of being a Marine where he served as a military policeman and drill sergeant. When he left the Marines he managed convenience and grocery stores until he went to Marshall University and received his BA in psychology and philosophy. He received his MA from Marshall University and began a career as a therapist with Prestera, Transitions, River Park and Ramey-Estep where he retired. He was fortunate to meet many friends in his career. Joel had an exceptional musical talent and played many instruments, but his greatest gift was his voice. He continued playing and singing throughout his life. On December 24, 1995 he married his beloved wife Sandie (Sandra Sanford) and they began their journey together. Their love is memorialized by a brick along the walkway of the Ohio River, which says “Sandie and Joel Forever” and they will always be in each other’s heart. Joel is survived by his adoring wife Sandie; stepchildren Darth Coots (Britt), children Cassidy and Canon; Lonique Coots (Cameron), children Reign and Revan. Also surviving are his son Chuck Sperry (Cindy), children Chas, Treyson and Sam; his daughter Jacie Huff (Gary), children Kade and Caelan, daughter Shannon Gibson, and previous son-in-law Jake Gibson and their children Luke and Brenna, sister Jaylen Rowe (Bruce); nieces Dani Kelly and Lakin McCann; great nieces and nephews Emma, Jaxon and Jayden Kelly and Finley and Judah McCann, aunts and uncles Genevieve Thompson, Joyce Copley (Tom), Rita Myers and Doug Sperry. Joel loved his dogs; they were his best friends and serenity. He will be sorely missed by his loyal companions Bella, Jaxon and Layla (who he called Pookie).
