PATRICIA ANN TOLER, 68, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away June 9, 2020. She was born February 16, 1952, in Logan, W.Va., to Bernard Toler and Mary Lou Brown Toler Boothe. Patty loved her family and her 13th Street Baptist Church family. She is survived by her best friend, Donnie Caldwell of Huntington, and her sisters, Judi Toler Kozlowski (Jay) of Orlando, Fla., and Carolyn “Kacky” Toler Tornow (Mike) of Chicago, Ill. Surviving are nieces Natalia Parrish, Dana Kubiak, Michelle Alex and Laura Nichols. Surviving nephews are Scott Rabb, Steve Rabb, Lionel Rabb, R. Todd Schroth and John Nichols, and many greatnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Thomas Lee Toler, her sister Barbara Jane Nichols. A memorial service will be held June 13, 2020, at 13th Street Baptist Church, 1812 13th Street, Ashland, Ky., with visitation at 11 a.m. and services at 12 noon, conducted by Pastor James Byrd. A memorial service will be conducted at Claypool United Methodist Church in Davin, W.Va. at 5 p.m., June 13, 2020, conducted by Pastor Rick Brown and Pastor Ollie Parsons. Both are Patty’s cousins. Maria Gail Bodamer ,70, of South Point, OH. passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 5:15 P.M. Maria was born August 24, 1949 in Huntington, WV. a daughter of the late William Franklin “Bill” and Bedelia Idona Brown Leep. Janet Lou Thompson Abrams, 83, of Elloree passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020.
The daughter of the late Clarence Rosco Thompson and the late Dorothy Kidd Thompson, Janet was born on February 12, 1937 in Fort Gay, West Virginia. She was the middle child of three daughters. Her sisters are the late JoAnne Thompson Vest (David) and Delores Jean Thompson Romine Smith (Gene). She attended public schools in Ceredo, West Virginia, and graduated with honors from Ceredo-Kenova High School. Janet graduated with a master’s degree in Education from Marshall University in Huntington West Virginia. Janet’s teaching career spanned 28 years at Ceredo Elementary School and Ceredo Middle School.
Janet is survived by her husband of 62 years Gerald Mason Abrams, two children Jon Kevin Abrams, and Jody Kay Abrams Sughrue (James), three grandchildren Jordan Lewis Mikalauskas, Heather Abrams and Lauren Abrams, one great grandchild Leonas Mikalauskas, and six nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by her parents, her older sister JoAnne, and her nephew Jeffrey Lee Vest.
Janet was a devout Christian, a loving and generous wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a former member of Locust Grove Baptist Church, Buffalo, West Virginia and a current member of Lake Marion Baptist Church, North Santee, South Carolina. Janet was actively involved in the church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, member of Women on Missions and served on various church committees.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Lake Marion Baptist Church, 1182 Scott Lake Rd, Summerton, S.C. and will be officiated by Pastor Larry Kennedy. A graveside service will be held at Old Docks Creek Cemetery, Docks Creek Road, Kenova, West Virginia on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. and will be officiated by Tom Baisden, Pastor of United Methodist Church, Ceredo, West Virginia.

Paul M. Daniels ,81, of Wayne, WV. passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. He was born September 24, 1938 in Wayne, WV. a son of the late Manford and Mary Lou Damron Daniels. Paul was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. Turner, William R
William Raymond Turner, 89, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away peacefully on June 1, 2020. He was born November 9, 1930 in Kenova to W.R. and Mary Ada Hundley Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 55 years, Wanda Ann Smith Turner. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Brenda Turner-Adkins and Angela Turner-Frazier; a special son-in-law Timothy Frazier; two grandsons, Justin Blair and Hayden Frazier; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Adkins and a great granddaughter, Sophie Robertson. He was a 1948 graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School and attended Marshall University. He served in the US Air Force from 1951-1955 where he spent 32 months in Germany and France. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Occupation of Germany Medal. Raymond was employed by The First National Bank of Kenova from 1956-1989 where he served as president from 1970 until his retirement in 1989. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 93 Kenova, whose Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Visitation will be held from 200 to 4:00 p.m. Friday June 5, 2020 with funeral services beginning at 4:00 with Rev. Larry Mullins officiating all at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. He was born May 12, 1947 in Kenova, W.Va. a son of the late Harry Billups and the late Pearl Rethel Hodge Billups Dean. He was the former Director of Human Resources with Johnson Controls. He was a member of the NRA and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Red House Baptist Church and a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Janet Faye Marcum Hammond, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and child of God passed away on May 22, 2020 after a brief illness. She is the daughter of the late Enoch and Margie Mae Bowen Marcum born July 13, 1945 in Kenova, W.Va. Janet was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family who will miss her greatly. She is survived by her husband, Trimble Hammond of Ashland, KY; a son, Timothy Mark (Missti) Hammond and their children, Austin Taylor and Cierra Daunn of Barboursville, W.Va.; a daughter, Elaine (Steve Cornwell) Hairston of Kenova, W.Va.; and a brother, E.J. (Jan Metz) Marcum, of Dunmore, W.Va. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Candice Mae-Turner Hairston.
