Ruth Loraine Barton, 84, of Ceredo, W. Va. Passed away on Thursday January 10, 2019 at Wurtland Nursing Center in Wurtland, KY. She was born September 27, 1934, in Ceredo, W. Va., a daughter of the late Lorraine and Opal Hall. She had worked in the Collection Department for Guaranty National Bank, In Huntington, W. Va. Ruth was a member of the Spring Valley Freedom Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Ray Hall. Survivors include her son, Dr. Scott Barton, daughter-in-law, Mitchelle Barton, of Ada, OK; granddaughter, Aileen (Allie) Loraine Barton, of Oklahoma City, OK and her sister, Joanne (Bruce) York of Ashland, KY. Surviving nieces and nephews and their families, Alan (Amy) York, Sarah York and Laura York, Alexandra Myers, Adrienne (Brandon) Sehein and Zoe Sehein. DELBERT LEE “BUTCH” GIBSON, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, W.Va., with Pastor George Leach officiating. Entombment following at 11 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018, at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. He was born September 26, 1937, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Delbert and Ethel Hicks Gibson. He was a retired layer attendant with Owens-Illinois and was a member of the Route 60 Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. American Legion Post 93 conducted military graveside rites. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his beloved wife Mazel Maynard Gibson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Gibson (Elizabeth) and Tim Gibson (Vickie); one daughter and son-in- law, Diana Adkins (Dale); one sister, Betty Blake; three grandsons; three granddaughters; one great- grandson; one great-granddaughter and a host of other family and friends. Robert Vincent Haynie,93, of Kenova, WV. passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, WV. with Bishop Paul Cantrell, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. He was born March 24, 1925 in Wayne County, WV., a son of the late Anthony and Ota Thompson Haynie. He was a retired custodian with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army where he received the Purple Heart. The American Legion Post 93 will conduct graveside military rites. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lorraine Felty Smith Haynie; one daughter Cathy Marie Cook and three brothers Arthur, James and Ed. Delylia Gail Maynard, 70, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She is now in the loving arms of her Lord. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 23, 1948, a daughter of the late Talmedge and Laura Isaacs Ramey. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Edens and Frieda Bowers. Gail was a 1967 graduate of Cered-Kenova High School. She earned bachelor and master degrees from Marshall University College of Education. She began her teaching career at Buffalo Elementary School and taught for thirty years. After retiring from teaching she became a student teacher supervisor at Marshall University. On December 7, 2018, the faith of EDWARD LEE FARLEY became sight as he gracefully closed his eyes while being surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren who rejoiced in the good that the LORD their God had given them through his daily examples of love and integrity (Deuteronomy 26:11). Edward was born at home in Kenova, W. Va. on September 15, 1933 and was the only child of the late Dr. Samuel A. & Nina Pack-Farley. He was also preceded in death by two special uncles, Mr. Thomas H. Lloyd Lee Kirk, 76, of Prichard, W.Va. passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, Ky. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Thursday December 6, 2018, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Kenova with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Lloyd was born September 27, 1942, in Fort Gay, WV. a son of the late Alfred and Pearl Crank Kirk. Lloyd was a custodial maintenance worker with the Whitfield County School System. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Ada Mae Webb Kirk. Survivors include one son David Lee Kirk; one daughter Deborah Lynn Kirk and several nieces, nephews and a host of family. There will be no visitation or procession to the cemetery.
