Annette Booth Akers

Annette Booth Akers, 91, of Huntington, WV. died Saturday, August 8, 2026 at her home. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2026 at the First Baptist Church of Kenova, of which she was a member, with Pastor Steve Willis and Pastor Chris Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Annette was born June 26, 1935 in Wayne, WV. a daughter of the late Elston and Lois Cole Booth. Annette was a true and faithful servant for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband David Gene Akers; three brothers and two sisters-in-law Wallace Booth, James and Ruth Ann Booth and Charles Warren and Imogene Booth; foster brother Wannie and Donna Frazier; sister Loretta Jean Booth and son-in-law James “Jamie” Blankenship. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law David Gene Akers, II (Pam) and daughter Jeannette Akers Blankenship; brother and sister-in-law Ronnie Booth (Priscilla); sister-in-law Denise Booth; five grandchildren David B. Akers, Zachery Akers (Amy), Cassidy Adkins (TJ), Whitney Buck (Ryan) and April Young (Marshall); twenty grand-children Logan, Lydia, John, Randen, Beckham, Liam, Levi, Maveric, Max, Zoey, Jazzy, Emme Jo, Evie, Axel, Roxie Rose, Bronx David, Cruz, Jolee, Zeke and Reese and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Kenova and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
