James Michael Blankenship, 68, of Ceredo, W.Va. passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Herschel “Woody” Williams VAMC. Funeral services will be conducted 3:15 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Ceredo Crescent Hill Cemetery with the American Legion Post 93 Honor Guard conducting military rites. James was born February 13, 1952 in Huntington, W.Va. son of Eldred Handy Lloyd and the late Jennings Blankenship. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Blankenship Thompson. In addition to his mother he is survived by his love and lifetime friend Jettie Adkins; sister Linda Lloyd Eastham; nieces Leslie Ann Eastham and Laura Beth Eastham and several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. The family respectfully requests the observance of facemasks and social distancing.
