Terry Lynn Hodgens

Terry Lynn Hodgens, 60, of Kenova, WV, died June 11, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born November 3, 1961, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Paula Hampton Dickerson of Ceredo, WV and the late Thomas “Jack” Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy Jeff Hodgens. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two sons, Josh Kinney (Nina) of Florida and Tyler Hodgens (Cassie) of Ashland, Ky; one sister Tammy Turner Lucas and Terry’s twin brother, Tom Turner of Ceredo, WV. She is also survived by one niece, Morgan Lucas, who she loved dearly; four grandchildren, Ashley, Lauryn, and Noah Hodgens and Shelton Kinney who were the light of her life. Visitation will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home. Services immediately following with Rev. Randy Maynard officiating. Robert Lee Rose

Robert Lee Rose, 95, of Ashland, Ky. passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 17, 2022 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Paul Mathews officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. with the American Legion Post #93 conducting military graveside rites. He was born August 9, 1926 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of the late Garnett Edward and Ethyl Lawhon Rose. He was a retired equipment operator with 32 year of service from INCO. Robert was a proud veteran having served in the U.S Army during WWII in Japan and the Philippines. He was a member of the Bethlehem Church of United Baptist. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years Margaruiete Mathews Rose, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include one son Robert Rose, Jr.; three daughters and one son-in-law Nancy Keyser, Anna Slone (Mike) and Darlene Osborne; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother Denver Rose; two sisters Myrte Jarrell and Ruth Wallace and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Nancy Carol McCallister Farley

Nancy Carol McCallister Farley, 77, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 10, 2022 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Pastor Jim Johnston officiating. Entombment will be at Woodmere Memorial Park. Nancy was born June 10, 1944 in Point Pleasant, W.Va. daughter of the late Jeff and Dorothy Mae Stover McCallister. She was employed within various hospitality capacities throughout her life. She was a nanny to numerous children in the Ceredo and Kenova communities. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Hanley McCallister. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law John Hampton and Todd Farley (Angela) and a daughter Treesa Farley and three granddaughters Lakin Reann Farley, Alexis Shae Farley and Mylee Hope Ferguson and her father Rick Ferguson. John “Big Mike” Sullivan

Big MikeJohn “Big Mike” Sullivan, 59, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. John was born December 14, 1962 in Huntington a son of Barbara Mullins Sullivan the late Clyde Wendell Sullivan. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a nephew Little Rocky Sullivan. Billie Lea Carver Campbell

Billie Lea Carver Campbell, 73, of Huntington, WV passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022. Billie was born October 31, 1948 in Ceredo, WV, to the late Billy Jack Carver. Billie’s grandparents, the late Jack and Beulah Ball Carver adopted her as an infant after her father passed away. Billie grew up in Ceredo, and graduated from C-K High School. She married the love of her life, the late Dale Edward Campbell and together they raised three children. Billie was creative, a wonderful mother and grandmother, she loved her family with a passion and was a good friend to many. The Campbell house was the place neighbors and friends gathered to play cards, board games and to make memories. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by her two beloved sisters, Julie Carver Mannon and Jean Carver Plymale. She is survived by her daughter, Misty Campbell Davies, her son, Cory Davies, her daughter, Brie Davies, Cornelius Lambert and their daughter, Zella Davies; and Brie and Cory‘s dad, Scott Davies; her son, Tony (Shatika) Campbell and their family, Jacob (Madison) Campbell, Joshua and his fiancé, Savannah Miller, Jared, Emma, Alyndas, Hayley, Tristan and Tavian; her son, Jason Campbell and his significant other, Sheila Mannon and his family, Zachary (Megan) Campbell, Devin Campbell, Emma Isabella Poff-Campbell and Shelby Lynn Poff-Campbell. Additional survivors include, a niece, Kim Mannon; nephew, Jeff (Rhonda) Mannon and their daughters, Jaci Mannon and her sons, Evan and Cashtyn; Jordan Mannon (Travis) Nash and their children, Liam and Charley; her brother-in-law, Richard Plymale; his daughter, Lisa Plymale (John) Jennings and their family; and many other cherished family members and friends. Billie loved her big family and was always available for whatever someone needed, she was their bright light and they knew she would always make time to listen to their hopes, dreams or concerns. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with the funeral beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Rosa Maxine Nelson Meeks

Rosa Maxine Nelson Meeks entered Heaven on May 27, 2022. “Biddy”, as she was known to most was born on January 2, 1950 to John and Mary Ellen Withrow Nelson in Ashland, Ky. In addition to her parents, Biddy is preceded in death by her husband Mike Meeks, a brother, Art Nelson, grandchildren, Hunter Meeks, Larra Nelson, and Rainey Nelson and a great-grand child Ryker Littleton-Ridge. She was a mother to six children, Larry (Kim) Nelson and Michael Nelson of Catlettsburg, Ky., Julia (Jason) Cox of Richmond, TX., Mark (Robin) Nelson, Leighann White, and Jonce (Melissa) Meeks of Ashland, Ky. Although she was “Biddy” to most, she was “Granny” to 17 grand-children and 13 great-grandchildren that she loved with all her heart. Additional survivors include a brother, John Nelson of Pedro, OH., and sisters, Louise Osborne and Claudia Copley of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Jennifer Warnock of Flatwoods, Ky. Biddy always had an open door for anyone and would give you anything she had. Her kind and caring heart was the reason she was very much loved by anyone she came in contact with. Jeffery Alan Nichols

Jeffery Alan Nichols, 63, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born May 16, 1959 in Huntington a son of Lois Carol Nichols and the late Charles Edward Nichols. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers Michael and John Nichols. In addition to his mother survivors include his wife Martha Nichols; two sisters Marcia Bertram and Lois Moore; one brother Charles Martin Nichols and a daughter Penny Nichols. Eunice “Jane” Frazier

Eunice “Jane” Wright Taylor Frazier, 88, died Tuesday, May 10, at Harbor Healthcare in Ironton, OH. She was born August 7, 1933, in Ceredo, WV, a daughter of the late Glenn Earnest and Virginia Belle Marcum Wright. Jane was a 1951 graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School, and a 1954 graduate of Saint Mary’s School of Nursing. She also attended Marshall University.

She worked for 40 years as a registered nurse in Takoma Park and Silver Spring, MD, and in Huntington, WV, before retiring in 1998. Jane was a member of Kenova United Methodist Church, where she sang in the Chancel Choir and volunteered for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Winston Taylor, and her second husband, Howard Delano Frazier, by her brothers Glenn Frederick Wright and James Allison Wright, and by her sister, Ida Lucille Wright Darling.

She is survived by her five children: Carol Patrick (David), Susan Taylor (Richard Doutt), Linda Taylor, Kenneth Michael Taylor, and Robert Taylor (Davorn), four grandchildren: Megan Patrick, Summer Patrick, Madeleine Doutt, and Aiden Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.

We the family wish to thank the staff of Harbor Health for their loving care of our mother. Rollins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation, and the graveside service will be private, at Jane’s request. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Martha Ann Whitt

Martha Ann Whitt, 84, of Lesage, W.Va. passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Martha was born September 11, 1937 in Timmonsville, S.C. a daughter of the late William and Edith Ford Vause. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son Rogers; granddaughter Brittany Nicole Adkins and three brothers Calvin, Danny and George Vause. Survivors include her beloved husband Raymond Whitt; four daughters Pamela Tedder (Robert), Renee Price, Rosetta Atkins (Tom) and Pam Cobb; one son Johnny Whitt; two sisters Avis Jean Richburg and Sharon Weatherford; 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Ron Wilson

Ron Wilson, 65, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Bunyan and the late R. F. “Bob” Wilson. He was a graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School Class of 1975 and was retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #521. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Timbo Wilson. In addition to his mother survivors include two sons Ronnie Wilson and Scottie Wilson; nephew Kris Wilson and grandchildren Jessie Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Lexie Wilson and Ronnie Wilson, III.
