Charles Michael Dodrill (Mike),45, of Huntington, WV. passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at UK Hospital in Lexington. Mike was a paramedic and worked for many agencies over the years such as Lifeline, Kenova EMS, Ceredo EMS, Air Evac and Healthnet. He retired from Cabell County EMS where he spent 22 years of his career. He was a longtime employee of Huntington Medcom where he remained “the voice on the radio” until his passing. Mike was also an Eagle Scout. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Merlin and Ruth Pitts; paternal grandparents Charles F. and Mary Jane Dodrill and his uncle Michael John Pitts. Mike is survived by his wife Shelby Ward Dodrill; his two children Morghan Dodrill and Charles Matthew Dodrill; his parents Charles Robert (Bob) and Wendysue Pitts Dodrill and a host of family and close friends he considered his family. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2025 with a service to follow at 4:00 P.M. at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Online condolences may be expressed at rollinsfh.com.
