Clarence E. Payton Sr., 76, of Huntington, WV., passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 15, 2024 at Rollins Funeral Home with Pastors Tony Mays and Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Valley Memorial Gardens. Clarence was born March 24, 1948 in Huntington, WV. a son of the late James and Rena Mays Payton. He was a former employee with Kenova Box and Kenny Queen Hardware. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death his beloved wife Donna Payton and two sisters Opal Martin and Maxine Payton. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law Clarence Payton, Jr. (Misty), Bobbie Payton (Crystal) and Robbie Payton (Lisa); eleven grandchildren Jamie, Cody, Andrea, Brad, Ashley, Rachel, Chris, Alexus, Kayla, Emily and Hannah; thirty great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law Darrell Payton (Linda) and special friend and co-worker Archie.
