Dorothy Jean Harris Elkins, 95, widow of Roy Jennings Elkins, passed away January 24, 2026. She was a daughter of the late Charles Wilson Harris and Grace Vaughn Dingess. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. She was a homemaker who took loving care of her family over the years. Dorothy has left behind her two cherished daughters, Brenda (Fred) Copley and Paula (Roger) Mills; one brother, Jim Harris; 5 grandchildren, Paul Michael, Jaime Renee, Neil, Christain, and Ryan; 15 great grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Jared, Emma, Claire, Ava, Alec, Paige, Caitlin, Raven, Cky, Hannah, Kailey, Jillian and Brandon; and 5 great great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Bentlee, Landon, Lynzee, & Hazel. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. A private family funeral was held and she was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in Kenova.
