Frank Luther, 77, of Shoals, WV, passed unexpectedly into God’s eternal care on April 7, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born on February 3, 1948, in East Lynn, WV, Frank was the son of the late Adrian and Edna Luther.
Frank, a man of few words, didn’t say much, but he didn’t need to—his quiet strength and many skills spoke for him. He worked hard across a variety of trades before retiring, and along the way, built friendships that lasted a lifetime. Nothing made him happier than being outdoors, especially when he was hunting or fishing with his grandson Collin, the joy of his heart
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Eric Shane Luther; brothers David Luther, Jim Luther (and wife Sylvia), Allen Luther, and Steven Smith; in-laws Ronnie and Bonnie Mullins; nephews Jeff Mullins and Gregory Mullins; and niece Christi Luther.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 57 years, Gail Luther; his daughter, Shannon Luther; and his treasured grandson, Collin. He is also survived by his brothers Monroe (Emma) Luther, Wayne Luther, and Scott (Zenie) Smith; sisters Lois Luther and Barbara (John) Walters; and his loyal sidekick, Ozzy.
Frank also leaves behind special nephew Tim Mullins; nieces Tammy Mullins (Chris), Nikki (Michael) Schmidt, and Laura Brown; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rollins Funeral Home, with services immediately following. Burial will take place at Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova, WV. Officiating the service will be Rev. Tim Crabtree.
