  1. Dirk Blevins was an amazing, multi-faceted talent whose work speaks for itself. I truly enjoyed my time spent with the Viking-hearted soul and will always cherish his memory.
His exuberant joie de vivre and stout laughter were two of his more endearing qualities and both were quite infectious. It would be extremely difficult to remain down or depressed in his presence. I recall the first time we hung out after I wrote this review (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=666559780036291&set=a.174328745926066),
he placed a big hand on my shoulder as he (uncharacteristically) struggled with the correct words to express his eternal gratitude. “Apart from my music,” he explained with misty eyes, “this captures perfectly the person I am and the musician I try to be. It made my Mom tear up… a million thank yous!”
And a million to you, my departed friend. You were a beacon of brilliance in an ever-darkening world. Save me a seat at the table of the Great Hall in Valhalla.
