James Phillip Ratliff, of Barboursville, WV, passed away December 18, 2025 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. A memorial gathering will be held 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2025 at Kenova Church of Christ. Service will follow with Minister Chris Stevens officiating. He was born November 6, 1946 to the late Arthur Glenn and Beulah “Dolly” Ratliff. He was also preceded in death by his brother William Earl Ratliff and sister Carol Lynn Johnson. James Retired from the Ohio River Terminal where he worked for 40 years. After retirement, he went on to work security at the Huntington Mall for 11 years. He was a member of Kenova Church of Christ where he led an adult class for 20years. Survivors include his beloved wife Beth Genene Ratliff; daughter Leslie Marchio (John) and son Aaron Gallion (Ashlee); a brother Richard Glenn (Christine) Ratliff; sister-in-law Donna Moore; grandchildren Lauren Beth Marchio, Ryan Marchio, Anna Grace Lantz, Ava Gallion, and Addyson Gallion.
