Gary Blaine Kent, 80, of Wayne, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation. Gary was born October 20, 1940 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of the late Roderick L. and Lorraine McKeand Kent. Gary received his Doctorate in music and was a retired music teacher. He was a member of the C-K Alumni Band. Music was his life and his legacy. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to her parents he was preceded in death by one sister Helen Kent and two brothers Harry and Arthur Ray Kent. Survivors include his ex-wife Pam Kent; one daughter and son-in-law Kristal Kent Hoke (Kenny); one son and daughter-in-law David Kent (Steffani); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one brother and sister-in-law Bobby Kent (Gail).
