Kimberly Jean Mannon, 64, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away March 5, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Kim was born July 15, 1959 in Huntington a daughter of the late Paul and Julia Carver Mannon. She grew up in Ceredo, W.Va. and graduated from C-K High School in 1977. Kim then continued on to earn her BSN from Mountain State University and Master of Science Nursing from Walden University. Kim was also inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, Nu Alpha Chapter Marshall University. She was honored with a Certificate of Excellence by King’s Daughter Medical Center Critical Care/Emergency Care Units in recognition of her dedication, passion, and exemplary nursing skills provided to patients and their families. She was currently the Assistant Chief Executive Officer at Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital. Kim was passionate about her family and spending time together, sharing a meal and making memories. She also loved her work and the people with whom she worked. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Rhonda Mannon; two special nieces, Jaclyn Mannon and her sons, Evan and Cashtyn and Jordan and Travis Nash and their children, Liam, Charlotte, and Elizabeth; special cousins, Misty Davies, Brieanne Davies and Lisa Jennings; one uncle, Richard Plymale and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services, 1401 Chestnut Street, Kenova, W.Va. 25530.
