Linda Kay Haynie Duty, 74, of Kenova, WV. passed away Monday August 26, 2024 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM and funeral services will be conducted following visitation at Kenova United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Tennant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lovely Linda Scholarship Fund for the Training Station Preschool, at the Kenova United Methodist Church, 503 15 th Street, Kenova, WV. Linda was born December 11, 1949 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur Haynie and Doris Chandler Haynie. She is preceded in death by her loving husband William “Russ” Duty. Linda was a homemaker but spent countless hours volunteering at Kenova United Methodist where she was a member and sang in the choir for many years. Linda boasted many accolades throughout the years but was most proud of her national championship win for muzzleloader shooting in 1984. She is survived by a beloved son Christopher Duty, brother Mike Haynie (Jean) sister-in-law Sue Midkiff, brother-in-law Dave Duty, brother-in-law Mark Duty (Lori), adopted son Brian Whittaker, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
