Lowell “Big Dad” Bowen, 78, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Brother Bobby Branham officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Lowell was born January 24, 1944 in Job, Ky. a son of the late Everett and Virgie Bowen. Lowell was a former employee of the Hamer Lumber Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Steve Bowen; grandson Troy Bowen; two brothers Vernon and Gary Bowen and his mother-in-law Ruby Norris. He leaves his beloved wife Jeannette Bowen; daughter Bonnie Lynn Adkins (Ronnie); son Brian Bowen (Barbara); two brothers Jay Bowen (Judy) and Lloyd Bowen (Eilenne) and four sisters Geneva Whitt, Emma Jean Branham, Bonnie Crum (Lawrence) and Janette Bowen (Ron). He also leaves grandchildren Curtis, Nikki, Erich, Samantha, Chris, Brian, Jr, and Catilina and great-grandchildren Genny, Ellie, Aizen and Adrien.
