Michael E. Stewart,73, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was a native of Ceredo, WV, the son of the late Doris Johnson and James E. Stewart. He attended Ceredo-Kenova High School and he served a tour of duty in Vietnam with the 1st and 5th Marine Divisions. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in December of 2000. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo and he was virtually a life member of the Ceredo and Kenova Volunteer Fire Departments. He leaves behind his former wife Cynthia Ann Stewart; step-son Charles R. Eastham (Susan); four grandchildren Ryan Eastham (Sarah), Patrick Eastham (Jessica), Griffen Eastham and Ellie Eastham and two great-grandchildren Graveside service will be conducted 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Hillcrest Cemetery on Rt. 75 in Kenova. There will be no visitation and no procession to the cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at rollinsfh.com.
