Nicholson, Carolyn J

Carolyn Jean Starkey Nicholson 74, of Ceredo, WV, went home to be with her Savior on Saturday November 17, 2018. Visitation will be conducted Tuesday evening November 20, 2018 from 6pm – 8pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, WV. Funeral services will also be held at Rollins Funeral Home on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 11am by Pastor Paul Cantrell, with burial to follow at Union Cemetery in Lesage, WV. Carolyn was born on November 6, 1944, to the late Harry and Pauline Starkey. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and for many years, had a servant’s heart. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald G. Nicholson, her children Daniel K. Nicholson (Jamie) and Pamela S. Nicholson, eight grandchildren: Kristy J. DeLong (Jimmy), Sean Gue (Kelli), Jessica Nicholson, Jonathan Nicholson (Lacey), Alyson Gue, Miranda Gue, a very special Sarah Gue, and Maddie Nicholson, three great-grandchildren Brenna, Mason, and Logan Gue, her sisters Phyllis Spurlock and Mary Clagg, and three sisters-in-law Doris Rider, Bonnie Wallace (Windell), and Pat Stutler (Larry). Carolyn was loved by numerous family members and friends, including a very special family friend Trisha Knopp Scott (Andy). Carolyn was a devoted Christian, a member of Kenova Church of God, dearly devoted to the Good Samaritan Center in Kenova, WV, and had a passion for the back pack ministry. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Good Samaritan Center in Kenova (1523 Chestnut Street Kenova, WV 25530).
