Joshua Lee Meadows, 41, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021. Joshua was born July 31, 1979 in Tazwell, VA. a son of Jackie Lee Meadows and the late Deborah Lynn Wyatt Meadows.  Survivors include his father Jackie Lee Meadows (Brenda); two daughters Aaliyah Meadows and Hailee Meadows and one sister Michelle. Finley, Charles C

Charles Curtis Finley, 79, formerly of Catlettsburg, Ky. passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Jordan Center in Louisa, Ky. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Charles was born December 21, 1941 in Wayne Co. W.Va. a son of the late Soney and Daisy Fry Finley. Charles was a former maintenance worker with the City of Ashland. Larry Joe Adkins, 74, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. Larry was born July 15, 1946 in Logan, W.Va. a son of the late Kenneth and Beatrice Runyon Adkins. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Janet Merritt Adkins; two sisters, Judy Adkins and Wanda Holley; two sons Tim Adkins (Shelly) and Daniel Adkins (Jackie); eight grandchildren TJ Adkins (Cassidy), Haylee Wellman (Robby), Tori Adkins, Nicole Leffingwell (Ronnie), Kenneth, Elizabeth, James and David Adkins. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren Maveric, Zoey, Max, Jazzy, Paxton, Emme, Hadley, Evie, Axel, Tripp, Roxie and Thomas; one good friend and neighbor Edgar Maynard; nieces and nephews Teresa Bryant, Greg Bryant and Pamela Holley; Close friend Roger Johnson and sister-in-law Connie Saxton. Aldridge, Eddie J

Eddie Joe Aldridge was born July 19, 1976 in Huntington, W.Va. He graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School in 1995. Eddie had many talents: artist, welder, golfer, butcher and chef. Eddie had a great sense of humor, loved children and had a passion for all he met on his earthly walk. As he made his landing on April 30, 2021, maternal grandparents John L. and Faye Saville and paternal grandparents Fred and Bernice Aldridge greeted him along with his father Carl Aldridge. Many friends and loved ones were there and what a reception he had. Survivors include his mother Wenona Saville Maeland (fiance’ Keith Black), sister Amy Foster (Jason), brother Brent Aldridge, niece Brynn Foster, nephews Blake Foster and Waylon Aldridge and a special cousin Jason Norris. He is also survived by many precious cousins, aunts and uncles. Eddie was blessed with many special friends. The family will have a gathering Saturday July 24, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Barboursville Park (Shelter #7, 491 Park Road) to celebrate Eddie’s life. Danny R. Hutchinson, 81, of Kenova, W.Va. went home to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, May 4, 2021 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Danny was born April 17, 1940 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of the late Isaac and Catherine Daniels Hutchinson. Danny lived his life as a devoted Christian. He was a former deacon, Sunday School Teacher, loving husband and dad. He was a former employee of Houdaille Industries and Wayne County Board of Education. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother James Hutchinson and a sister Judy Neekamp. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Regina Hutchinson; one daughter Cindy Hutchinson; one son Mark Snider and sister Gladys Hunt. Danny will be greatly missed by his family and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many church family and friends. Eric Lynn Hooks, 35, of Prichard, W.Va. passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home. Eric was born May 27, 1985 in Houston, Texas a son of Ernest Hooks and the late Susan Hooks. John Robert Workman, 78 years old went home to be with the Lord at his residence on April 27th 2021. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Milford Workman, a son Jeffrey Dale Workman, a brother Roger Workman, a sister-in-law Dale Workman, and a nephew Ronnie Ray Workman. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Nell Workman, one brother Ronnie Workman, two sisters Ida Milum (Dave) and Sue Ward. A son Mark Workman (Kelley), two daughters Angela Barrett (Steve) and Debrah Tomblin; eight grandchildren Josh Workman (Ginger), Ben Workman, Kris Workman (Meg), Ethan and Caleb LeMaster, Dawn Simpson (Chris), Dakota Simpson (Danielle), Kasey Ward (Logan); seven great-grandchildren and three special nieces Brenda Damron, Chantelle Miller and Addisyn Miller. He was a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church in Kenova where he was an usher and the “candyman”. He was a member of the IBEW #317 local union for 55 years. Henderson “Googie” Adkins, Jr., 68, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Googie  was born November 24, 1952 a son of the late Henderson Adkins, Sr. and the late Wanda Pack Adkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lona Hurley Adkins; granddaughter Faith Ann Prince; two brothers James and Doug Adkins and one sister Virgie Hall.  Survivors include three daughters Angela Hurley, LaDonna Dingess (Jake) and Opal Workman; grandchildren Kendra, Keith, Robert, Brad, Dakota, Christopher and Matthew; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister LaVanna Williams and one brother Paul David Adkins and many cherished nieces and nephews. Thelma Jean Maynard, 65, of Ashland, Ky. passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Community Hospice Care Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Clarence Pratt, 74, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Clarence was born March 20, 1947 in Kenova, W.Va. a son of the late Charles and Helen Arnold Pratt. He was a retired employee of the J.H. Fletcher Company. Clarence was a member of the Kenova Church of Christ and loved to play golf. Survivors include his beloved wife Dinah M. Pratt; three sons and a daughter-in-law David Swinford (June), Phillip B.
