Wilma Jean Carver Plymale, 88, of Lexington, KY, passed away September 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Jean was born August 3, 1933 to the late Jack and Beulah Ball Carver of Ceredo, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky A. Plymale; granddaughter, Katherine A. Plymale; sister, Julia Ann Mannon and brother, Billy Jack Carver. She was a graduate of Ceredo Kenova High School then she briefly attended Marshall University. Jean was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo. She did volunteer work at Cardinal Hill Hospital and was a former member of Daughters of The Nile. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Richard A. Plymale; daughter, Lisa J. (John) Jennings; granddaughter, Sarah E. (Matthew) Pank; grandson, Grant A. (Lauren) Leedy; great grandsons, Carver M. Pank, Cooper A. Pank and Kalen Finley; great granddaughter, Kamryn Finley along with a host of nieces and nephews. Jean will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 28, 2021 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, W.Va. with Elder Gary Blake officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Fort Gay High School Memorial Scholarship Fund at Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va. or Hospice of The Bluegrass, Lexington, KY.
