Ricky Lee (Henry) Clay, 66, of Chesapeake, OH. passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Interment will be private. He was born April 26, 1954 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of the late William W. and Lola Juanita Pelfrey Clay. Ricky was a graduate of Buffalo High School and retired from the Steel of West Virginia. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Nicholas Andrew Clay (Allison); wife, Paula Bailey Clay, his brother and sister-in-law William David Clay (Vollena) and his sister Karen Clay. Morrone, Jr, George B

GEORGE BLASS MORRONE JR., 87, of Huntington, W.Va., departed this life at his residence on July 10, 2020. He was born in the Bronx, New York City, New York, the second of three children of George Blass Morrone Sr. and Evelyn Jacklish Morrone. He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of seventeen. Several weeks before completing his basic training in San Antonio, Texas, he was deployed to serve in the Korean War. He later served in the Vietnam War as well. During his nearly 22 years of military service, he flew 362 missions and his aircraft was hit only once. On January 29, 1960, he married Barbara Jean Perry of Kenova. Nora Louise Caldwell Hodge, 93 , of Kenova , W.Va. passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Heartland of Riverview nursing home. Nora was born March 10, 1927 in Kenova, W.Va. a daughter of the late John and Martha Maynard Caldwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Elmer Hodge; a son-in-law Jerry Stewart and twenty siblings. Terry Lee Cole, 72, of Kenova passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1948 in Kenova, WV. a son of the late Harold and Nettie Elizabeth McGown Cole. Bobby Lee Slone, 55, of Prichard, W.Va. passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 in King’s Daughters Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Michael David “Smacky” Banks, went to be with his Heavenly Father, on Tuesday June 16, 2020 leaving behind the love of his life of 29 years, Leaneta “Lee” Pelphrey Banks. He was born October 25, 1948 in Kenova, WVa. a son of the late Emmett and Lorraine Preston Banks. Mike was a US Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 93 Kenova whose Honor Guard will conduct military rites. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michalyn Leigh Miller. Mike was a master electrician retired from IBEW Local 317. In addition to his wife he is also survived by five children, Chief Petty Officer Michael David (Kristin) Banks II, Lisa Marie (Perry) Morrone, Carmen (Brian) Scott, Candice (Geoffrey) Gettliffe and Bill (Deitra) Miller; ten grandchildren, Kristin (CJ) Snyder, Courtney (JT) Braley, Michael (Ashleigh) Crabtree, Brandon Morrone, Taylor Scott, McKensie Miller, Payton Morrone, Eli Miller, Ethan Banks and Hannah Banks; five great grandchildren, Harleigh, Callie, Evelyn, Cooper and Alyvia; one brother, Bill (Gail) Banks; one sister, Cheryl (Scott) Bowen; several nieces and nephews, other friends and family; special neighbors, Mick and Roxanne Fizer; special friends, Paul Rutherford, Scott McCoy, Ralph McKenzie and Terry Bentley. Clifford David Bassham,72, of Huntington, WV. passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at his residence. Military funeral rites will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Donel C. Kinnard State Veterans Cemetery Dunbar, W.Va. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He is survived by one son and two brothers.
