Riggs-Craycraft, Elaine G

ELAINE GAIL RIGGS CRAYCRAFT, 75, of Kenova, W.Va., was united with her Savior, Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Elaine was born July 3, 1943, in Kenova, W.Va., a daughter of the late Andrew Wayne and Reba Ball Riggs. She was a graduate of C-K High School and retired from the Wayne County School system, where she was the secretary at Ferndale Elementary and Northern Wayne County Vocational School. Elaine was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenova and was a children’s Sunday school teacher there and at 20th Street Baptist Church for most of her life. She loved quilting, needlework, and spending time outdoors; but most of all, she loved God and her family passionately. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale Craycraft. Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marsha Riggs and Wilda Milam (Willie); one brother and sister-in-law, Bernard Riggs (Nancy); a sister-in-law, Rachel Craycraft; one niece, Lora Billups; three nephews, David Riggs (Tami), Steve Milam (Melissa) and Joe Milam (Beth); three great-nieces, Emily Billups, Jenna Billups and Kathryn Riggs; four great-nephews, Gabe Milam, Zack Milam, Cameron Armstrong and Andrew Riggs; one aunt, Katie McCallister (Jim); one uncle, Carlos Ball (Mary) and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, with Pastor Steve Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Huntington and Right At Home Healthcare.   1. With my deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Mrs. Elaine. Marsha and Wilda her sisters, you lived next door to my Aunt Jewell and Uncle Frank. Some of my fondest memories is of Mrs. Elaine and Ferndale Elementary. May our Heavenly Father hold you close and give you comfort and strength to get through these upcoming days.
