 Betty Lorene Gallion Swann, 87, of Huntington, WV. passed away Monday, February 11, 2019. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Pastor Debra Winters and Pastor Willard Nolen officiating. Interment will follow in Cyrus Cemetery. Betty was born June 17, 1931 in Chillicothe, OH. a daughter of the late Terrell S. Gallion and Margie Echols Keller. She retired from CSX where she was a clerk in the engineering department with 31 years and 6 days of service. She was also a member of the Madison Avenue Church of God. She loved many things especially her grandchildren and many friends and acquaintances. She loved working in her church and singing with the Saints Alive. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her beloved husband James E. Swann, two brothers T.S. Gallion , II and Donald L. Gallion and one great-grandchild Khristian Richard Sperry. Betty is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Rick Sperry (Libby); special son James Eric Swann; two grandsons T. R. Sperry, II and Nathan Sperry; two great grandsons Gunnar Sperry and Quentin Blackburn; one brother James Allen Stewart (Lorrie) and special friend John Dial. The family wishes to thank the Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for their love and care of Betty throughout her stay.     I’m just learning of Aunt Betty’s passing this evening (Feb 18). I am so sorry. Please know she was a special person to me and I loved her very much. I always loved her zest for life and her infectious giggle. She was a good, good woman. I will never forget her.

  2. Dear Rick & Libby. Just want you to try and remember that A Life that touches the hearts of others lives on forever. Betty ,was truly loved by so many people. I cant tell you how much fun we had on all of our Cruises loved loved , loved all the trips we took together. So enjoyed going out with her when Mom &I were in town.Betty was more then a friend she was FAMILY. I am so sorry I am not there with everyone,Betty always made my heart smile, I will truly miss her Sunshine smile and her get up and go even when she did’t feel up to it.
