Mary Ruth “Sissy” (Holley) Pelfrey, 71, of Barboursville, WV. passed into eternal rest on Friday, February 8, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Minister John Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mary was born August 3, 1947 in Huntington, WV. a daughter of the late Opal Steele Holley. She lived in Kenova most of her life working at Tradewell, Corbins and Inco Alloys. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a brother Michael Holley and her husband Roger Joe Pelfrey. Mary is survived by a brother John Holley; sister Sandra Holley; a very special nephew Chris Moore whom she considered and loved like a son along with his wife Minetta and their daughters Kelli Moore and Jami Sansom (Cory) who took care of Mary and Roger over the past 20 years through both of their illnesses and were with her during her final moments here on earth. She is also survived by a special grandson Oliver Sansom; three stepdaughters Monica Pelfrey, Paula Allen (Cliff) and Rhonda Napier; four step-grandchildren Jenna, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Arik and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 3-5 PM Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice House of Huntington 3100 Staunton Road Huntington, WV. 25702 or an Animal Shelter of your choice.
