Brian Matthew Knowles, 42, of Barboursville, WV, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, after a brief illness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncles and aunt, Drs. Durwood and Julie Knowles of Webb, AL, Jerry Knowles of Columbia, AL; cousins Michael Plymale of Aurora, CO, Dan Knowles of Donaldsonville, GA; and his special dog Cooper. Survivors include his brother, Kevin Knowles and his partner Matthew McMillion of Lavalette, WV; his beloved fiancé, Jessica Pauley of Barboursville, WV, his fiancé’s children, Taylor Wiley, Owen Pauley, and Jax Pauley, his fiancé’s sisters, Shawna Massie of Huntington, WV, and Erica Ingram (Brad) of Huntington, WV and their families; his aunts and uncles, Rick and Susan Plymale of Huntington, WV, Linda and James Sims of Columbia, AL, and Bill and Diana Knowles of Graceville, FL; and first cousins Mark (Tessia) Plymale of Stanton, KY, Andrea (Brian) Gohmann of Louisville, KY, Christina (Chad) Andrews of Knoxville, TN, and Amanda (Doug) Cochran of Darrington, WA, and many other cousins. Brian is also survived by his best friends, Dana Adkins and Lisa Roberts, his church family, and a host off riends. A Celebration of Life service will be held from 1-3 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Transformation Community Church in Huntington, WV. In lieu of flowers, at Brian’s wish, donations can be made to Transformation Community Church in his memory. Rollins Funeral H ome is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Brian meant the world to me and my family. He was a wonderful guy, great friend and the best brother in Christ you could ask for. He will be greatly missed.
