Thomas L. Daniels, 75, of Kenova, WV. passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2018 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Pastor Steve Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington. Tom was born July 1, 1943 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Emmitt Harley and Bessie Boling Daniels. He was retired as a Master Sargent from the U.S. Army. While on active duty, he was in Special Forces as a Green Beret and a medic with the Army Rangers in Vietnam. He carried that over into private life and volunteered in that capacity with Ceredo firefighters. He worked as a master plumber/welder with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 521 and retired from the Huntington VA Medical Center, where he was a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a life member of the American Legion in Huntington whose Honor Guard will conduct military rites and Huntington Masonic Lodge AF & AM #53 whose members will conduct graveside rites. He was Baptist by faith and attended the First Baptist Church of Kenova. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Emmitt Harley “Brother” Daniels, Jr. and Richard (Dickie) Daniels, a sister Marguerite Qualls, and great-grandson Joshua Blair Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife Sarah Loar Daniels; one daughter Pamela Bess Kennedy; two sons Thomas Edward Daniels and Timothy Lee Daniels; one sister Wilma L. Ball; step-daughter and her husband Kelly L. Albright (Chris) and 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
