Curtis Farrel Woods, 72, of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018, at his residence. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, September 22, at the Big Otter Community Center, Ivydale, W.Va., with Pastor Wayne Litton officiating. Interment will follow in Turner Cemetery in Clay County, W.Va. He was born October 2, 1946, to the late Farrel and Lydia Kathleen Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Trudy Arthur. Survivors include his beloved wife of 37 years, Jane Adkins Woods; three sons, Troy Woods (Raven), Richard Woods, both of Huntington, W .Va., and Chris Woods of Prichard; one grandson, Johnsey Woods of Apple Grove, W.Va.; one sister, Carla Wisman of St. Albans, W. Va.; two brothers, Fred Woods (Denise) of Huntington and Randy Woods (Sherri) of Salt Rock, W.Va.; brothers-in-law, Dave Arthur of Ashton, W.Va., Earl Adkins (Judy) of Shelbyville, Ky., and Lafe Adkins (Lena) of Prichard; and a host of wonderful friends and family. Special thanks goes out to Scotty Fitzwater, Jr. Belt, Leonard McGlothin, Wadie Rose, Peach Mullins, Joe Bragg and Mike Naylor for a lifetime of friendship. Jane would like to say a special thank you to Lafe and Chris for being there to help everyday. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Big Otter Community Center.
