James Todd Dean, 54, of Independence, KY, formerly of Kenova, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024. He was born January 11, 1970 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Paul and June Pelfrey Dean. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Lillian Pelfrey and Dock and Mary Dean; and his mother-in-law, Sandra Kay Johnson. Todd graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School. He was an avid football fan and especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. Todd was employed by SUN Behavioral Health. Survivors include his wife, Terri Lynn McCarley Dean; a son, Nathan (Erica) Stanley; a daughter, Lyndsai (Bobby) McClaskey; grandchildren, Elijah, Gracelynn and Abigail Raike and Charley Ann McClaskey; brothers, Jeff (Sue) Dean and John Dean; sisters, Jennifer (Jim) Marcum and Janice (Larry) Wellman; father-in-law, Chester D. Johnson; his doggies, Bella, Skippy and Sallee; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted, Saturday June 22, 2024 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, WV with Steve Blankenship officiating.
