Jessalyn Marshall Bailey, 93, of Ceredo, W.Va. passed away May 6, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1931 in Page, W.Va. the sixth of eight children of the late O. E. and Effie Bickford Marshall. Jessalyn graduated from Princeton High School in 1950. She was a beloved worker in the VA Medical Center Canteen where she was often asked for by the patrons and served the veterans diligently until her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and was reunited in heaven with them and her beloved grandson, Bradley Evans. She is survived by her husband, Don C. Bailey; three sons and their wives, Sidney J. Wheeler, Jr. and Kathleen, William “Bill” Wheeler and Dorthy, and John R. Wheeler and Chantica; one daughter and her husband, Kathy Patrick and Jack; grandchildren, Brent Evans, Jr., Mason Wheeler, and Nathaniel and Jonathan Thompson; great grandchildren, Connor and Skylar Evans and one brother, Donald “Don” Marshall. Visitation will be from 11 to noon on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, W.Va. The funeral service will begin immediately following visitation at noon with Rev.
