Lois Elaine Miller Hurst, 89, of Lucedale, MS. went home to be with her Lord May 5, 2024. Lois was born June 25, 1934 in Huntington, WV to the late Paul P. Miller and Mary E. Sayre. Lois was a retired secretary for GMAC. She began her career in Huntington; and relocated to Hialeah, FL, where she and John raised their sons and were very active in the community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John M. Hurst; son David Hurst; Nana Ferne Miller and sisters Linda Casey and Patsy Wells. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Tammy Hurst; sisters Sharon Wilkes and Pauletta (Sam) Torres; brother Gregory Miller; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grand-children; and a host of niece and nephews and great nieces and nephews she loved dearly. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Mr. Barry Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
