Linda Frances Gibson Butcher

Linda Frances Gibson Butcher, Kenova native, passed away peacefully in her home on February 3, 2024 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents Etna and Violet Gibson. She is survived by her fiance’ Jess Groves; sons Richie (Amy) Butcher and Larry (Randi) Butcher; granddaughters Allie (Nick) Elkins, Mandi Butcher, Emily Butcher and Erika Butcher and her great-grandchildren Barrett and Berkley Elkins. Linda devoted her life to her family. She never missed a game, event, or activity. She was truly the definition of selfless. Her beautiful smile and contagious laughter will be remembered forever. She loved all things sparkly, Harry Potter (a true Gryffindor at heart), Elvis Presley, and football especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Marshall. Above all, she loved her family. A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Rollins Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at rollinsfh.com.

  1. This is Raymond Lucas and I was a class member of Linda’s from the class of CK High School 1963. Just want to express my condolences to her family. She will be missed.
