Robert Wade Bodamer

Robert Wade Bodamer, 86, of South Point, OH. passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Bob was born March 10, 1937 in Sullivan, Illinois. He is the son of the late Noah Theodore and Doris Maxine Robertson Bodamer. Bob was a former Honeywell employee in the facility maintenance division, a Paramedic with S.E.O.M.S. and worked as member of the National Ski Patrol System. Bob was also a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union #248 and a veteran serving in the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Maria Gail Bodamer; two sons Scott Bodamer, and Bob Bodamer and a daughter Cheryl McCord. He is survived by one stepdaughter and son-in-law Beverly Gail Thomas (Brian); one stepson David Alan Staley; seven grandchildren Robby, Kyle, Alyssa, Carly, Diego, Kennedi, Delaney; great-grandson Asher and his extended church family at the First Baptist Church in South Point, Ohio. Friends may call from 3-5 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Interment will be private in Ceredo Crescent Hill Cemetery.   1. I considered Bob a good friend as I had the opportunity to spend many a day tagging along with him as he worked as the Senior Ski Patroller in WVa. I wasn’t aware that Maria had passed having worked with them both on the squad. You were one of the good guys Robert, go in peace.
