Sylvia Carolyn Blankenship Luther, 70, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her residence. Graveside service will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Hay officiating. Sylvia was born June 11, 1954, in Wayne, W.Va. a daughter of the late Hiram and Thelma Gladys Lockhart Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Walter Luther, Sr. and nine siblings. She is survived by her beloved two sons James, Jr. and Kevin Luther, four grandchildren Izak, Wade, James D. and Hannah; one brother Ellis Blankenship and two sisters Sue Dierdorf and Ethel Irene Artrip.
