Sharon K. Dillon, 83, of Ceredo, WV. died Monday, August 10, 2026 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Sharon was born September 20, 1942 in Huntington, WV. a daughter of the late Melvin Hager and the late Sada Varney. Sharon was affectionately self-nicknamed the Queen and Chatty Kathy and loved to decorate her home for every season and holiday. Her happy place was Hobby Lobby and enjoying her flowers and plants. Her greatest joy was gathering with her family. She was Baptist by faith. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Francis Dillon and two sisters Donna Craig and Beverly Jenkins. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Barry Ellis (Jackie), daughter and son-in-law Bridgette Moore (Larry) and son and daughter-in-law Jason Ellis (Patricia); brother and sister-in-law Ken Stepp (Robin); grandchildren Jeremy Ellis (Robin), Aimee Harrah (Todd) and Autumn Hansen (Josh) and great-grandchildren Chase, Brooklyn, Ava, Aubrey and Bella. Annette Booth Akers, 91, of Huntington, WV. died Saturday, August 8, 2026 at her home. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2026 at the First Baptist Church of Kenova, of which she was a member, with Pastor Steve Willis and Pastor Chris Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Annette was born June 26, 1935 in Wayne, WV. a daughter of the late Elston and Lois Cole Booth. Annette was a true and faithful servant for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband David Gene Akers; three brothers and two sisters-in-law Wallace Booth, James and Ruth Ann Booth and Charles Warren and Imogene Booth; foster brother Wannie and Donna Frazier; sister Loretta Jean Booth and son-in-law James “Jamie” Blankenship. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law David Gene Akers, II (Pam) and daughter Jeannette Akers Blankenship; brother and sister-in-law Ronnie Booth (Priscilla); sister-in-law Denise Booth; five grandchildren David B. Samuel Dale Ferguson
Samuel Dale Ferguson, 54, of Kenova, WV passed away August 4, 2026. He was born September 3, 1971 a son of Emy (Kelly) Runyon White and the late Samuel David Ferguson. Dale was a 1989 graduate of Milton High School then briefly attended Marshall University before receiving his degree from West Virginia Tech. He was a self employed owner/operator of 165 Designs LLC and did a lot of contracting work through J. H. Fletcher & Co. Dale enjoyed working on his farm and he loved his animals. He enjoyed hunting and shark fishing and being outdoors. He also loved Key West, Florida. Dale is survived by his mother, Emy; his beloved children, Ashley Nichole Ferguson and Dale Thomas (Hannah) Ferguson and their mother, Carrie Ferguson; step sisters, Lynn Cooper and Cyndi Lewis; step brother, Mike Cooper; a niece, Kayla Cooper and a host of friends and family who will greatly miss him. Noah Junior Lowe
Noah Junior Lowe, 68, of Kenova, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at his home. He was born February 1, 1958 a son of the late Noah and Lillian Marie Blankenship. Noah graduated from C-K High School. He had worked for Brunetti Bakery in Kenova. He is survived by two sisters, Thelma Lowe and Hester Meade; a brother, John B. Lowe, II; and his special companion, Mary. Noah loved spending time at Virginia Point and was affectionately known as “the mayor of the point” where he kept an eye on the eagles that lived there. He also met with his classmates once a quarter at Evaroni’s to catch up with what all the guys had been doing since their last get together. Noah was loved by many and will be greatly missed because he had a big heart and was willing to help anyone who needed a hand. Katherine Josephine Perdue Watts
Katherine Josephine Perdue Watts, 88, of Kenova, WV, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend and child of God went to her eternal resting place on Thursday, July 30, 2026. She was a daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Louise Hutchinson Perdue and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gus Hall. Katherine married her late husband, Donald R. Watts and together they raised four children, Bernie Watts, Donna Hall, Ruth (Joe) Grajo and Teresa Watts. In addition to her children she is survived by a brother, William Perdue; three sisters, Phyllis Doss, Lois (Mike) Baisden and Sally Callahan; nine special grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Katherine loved her family and will be greatly missed. She was the oldest member of the Route 60 Freewill Baptist Church where she worshiped her savior until her health kept her from attending. She also sang in the choir and was the leader of the Ladies Aide. Another of her favorite activities was to join her daughters finding treasures at local rummage sales. Katherine participated in the CKES Secret Santa Program helping buy gifts for children at Christmas. Visitation will be conducted from Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Rollins Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Roy Akers officiating. R. Michael Hall, age 55, of Prichard, WV passed away on 7/27/26. Mike found his greatest pride and joy in his family. His beloved wife, Missy, was the love of his life. Together, they built a family over 35 years that remained the center of his world. He was a proud father to his three children, Devan Hall (Alex), Raylen Jeffers (Will), and Tyson Hall (Haley), and a devoted Poppy to his four cherished grandchildren Braddox, Brynlee, Brooklyn, and Tate. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Bob and Shiela Perry; and his brother- and sister-in-law, Mohamed Sadek and Maria Hafiz.
The family sincerely appreciates the many expressions of kindness and support and asks for continued prayers as they navigate this profound loss. His greatest legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply.

Robert Lee “Bob” Osburn, 84, of Ceredo, WV. died Monday, July 27, 2026 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Bob was born September 12, 1941 in Wayne, WV. a son of the late Miller Vincent and Ida Mae Robinson Osburn. Bob was a longtime Barber in Kenova where he worked side beside with his brother-in-law at the Claude Cox Barber shop. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Eleanor J. Dixon Osburn; three brothers Ralph, Earnest and Frank and six sisters Eleanor, Hazel, Gracie, Cleo, Zuma and Georgie. Survivors include two sons Mark Osburn and Dana Osburn; three grand-children Sabrina, Gabby and Abby; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews; special niece Claudette Ellis-Cleary; special nephew John Cox and special great-niece Autumn Hanson. Michael Jay Keith O’Dell
Michael Jay Keith O’Dell, 60, of Prichard, WV passed away on July 18, 2026 at St Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born February 9, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan a son of Joann Kimberling of Ceredo, WV and the late Lawrence (Larry) Harlan O’Dell Jr. Michael was a graduate of Buffalo High School. He joined the US Navy where he served for over 20 years before retiring and then going to work at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical center where he was still employed as a dispatcher. Michael enjoyed camping and taking care of his home and property. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them and he also loved to irritate his mother-in-law, Ella Mae. Members of the US Navy Funeral Honors Program and American Legion Post 93 Kenova Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites. In addition to his father and grandparents, Jay was also preceded in death by a sister, Shannon O’Dell. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Smith O’Dell; a son, Cory Lewis; a daughter, Cassie Lewis; grandchildren, Chloe Lewis and Lyric Carter; brothers, Larry O’Dell III, Jody O’Dell and Jeff Woodward; special friends, Eddie Wildes and Dwayne Hall; his dog, Pebbles and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be on Thursday July 23, 2026 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service with Brother Jerry Smith officiating. Teresa Diane Adkins George, 67, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away July 9, 2026 in the Ohio State University James Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 1, 1959 in Huntington, W. Va. A daughter of the late Thurman and Thelma Smith Adkins. She worked for many years as an Admitting/Registration Manager for Cabell Huntington Hospital. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles George; her sister, Gloria Drown; brothers, Bob and Larry Adkins; nieces, Deanna Swisher, Barbi Adkins, Lori Myers and Janet Nelson; nephews, Eric Adkins, Sam Drown, Bobby Adkins, and Jerry Adkins; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Teresa loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life service will be held at the Lifesong Church, 438 Boyd Street in Russell, KY, of which she was a member, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Menhouse officiating.
