Charles Franklin Dishman, 52, left this world on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. CFD was the son of the late William Franklin Dishman and the late Patricia Hannon. He is survived by two cousins Becky Carver and Kathy Smith both of Boyd Co., Ky. CFD was full of life and always made a presence wherever he was and he never met a stranger. His love for sports was overwhelming as he loved the CK Wonders, Cincinnati Red, UK Wildcats and the Marshall Thundering Herd. His love for his community was well known throughout as he volunteered with the annual spaghetti dinner at the CK Community Center where he holds the record for the most tickets sold for the dinner. Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery off of Dock’s Creek Road. Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova is assisting the family. Emma Sue Salmons Howard, 79 of Kenova, W.Va. passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Genesis Health Care in South Charleston, W.Va. Sue was born March 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Albert J. & Margaret Music Salmons. She was employed as a glass packer at Owens Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford David Howard; son, Timothy David Howard; brothers, Clyde and Jim Salmons. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Watts; two sons, Clifford (Kathy) Howard, and Gregory Howard. Grandchildren: Christopher (Karrisa) Howard, Jennifer (Andrew) May, and Cory Watts; several great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Lockhart; brother, Carl (Phyllis) Salmons. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, W.Va. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Eddie Albert Dent, 51, of Prichard, W.Va. passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Wayne, W.Va. Eddie was born September 15, 1969 in Louisa, Ky.  son of Sharon Robertson Dent Smith and the late Eddie Dean Dent. He graduated from Fort Gay High School in 1987 and worked out of the labor union 1445. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Dotsie and Albert Junior Robertson and Polly Ann and Harry Dent and stepfather Homer Smith. Survivors include his beloved wife April D. McCray Dent; four children Jacob Dent, Tyler Dent, Cassey Flora (Derick) and Kyle Adkins; sister Laura Dent; brother Jason Dent; grandchidlren Drake Watts and Kinleigh Watts and their father Levi Watts; special aunt Alberta Robertson and many other loving and cherished family members. Carole S. Brown Hayner Adkins, 79, of Ceredo, WVa. went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday, June 7, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Ceredo, of which she was a member, with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Carole was born April 27, 1942 in Cyrus, W.Va. daughter of the late Henry B. and Myrtle A. Pyles Brown. She graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School in 1960 and retired from the Tennessee Baptist Convention and then worked several years for the First Baptist Church of Ceredo.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands James Hayner and Otis Adkins; brothers Buddy, Edward and Bobby Brown; twin sister Linda Brown Graham and grandson Chase Adkins. Survivors include one brother Johnny Mack Brown (Diana); two sons James Michael Hayner and Timothy Scott Hayner (Jessica) and two step-sons James A. Adkins (Gail) and Oscar S. Adkins (Tammy). She is also survived by grndsons Case Hayner, Christopher Adkins, Brandon Harmon; granddaughters Madison Ledsinger, Taylor Creighton, Kayla Osborne (Chris), Taylor Lowe and Ashlee Adkins; one sister-in-law Linda Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jackie C. Slone, Jr., 57, of Prichard, W.Va. passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at his residence. Graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Hazlett Cemetery in Prichard with Pastor Darrin Featherhoff officiating. Jackie was born October 28, 1963 in Huntington, W.Va. son of Barbara Ann Davis Slone and the late Jackie C. Slone, Sr. He graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School in 1982. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Bobby L. Slone, Maternal and Paternal grandparents; nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters Karri Justice (John) and Lauren Paige Case (Shane); five grandchildren Abele, Zach, Alex, Mason and Easton; uncles Bill Slone and Ralph Davis (Wanda); aunt Glenna Strum and numerous other family members. Matthew Scott Fitzgerald, 28, of Ashland, Ky. passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Joshua Lee Meadows, 41, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021. Joshua was born July 31, 1979 in Tazwell, VA. a son of Jackie Lee Meadows and the late Deborah Lynn Wyatt Meadows.  Survivors include his father Jackie Lee Meadows (Brenda); two daughters Aaliyah Meadows and Hailee Meadows and one sister Michelle. Charles Curtis Finley, 79, formerly of Catlettsburg, Ky. passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Jordan Center in Louisa, Ky. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Charles was born December 21, 1941 in Wayne Co. W.Va. a son of the late Soney and Daisy Fry Finley. Charles was a former maintenance worker with the City of Ashland. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 10 siblings. Larry Joe Adkins, 74, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. Larry was born July 15, 1946 in Logan, W.Va. a son of the late Kenneth and Beatrice Runyon Adkins. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Janet Merritt Adkins; two sisters, Judy Adkins and Wanda Holley; two sons Tim Adkins (Shelly) and Daniel Adkins (Jackie); eight grandchildren TJ Adkins (Cassidy), Haylee Wellman (Robby), Tori Adkins, Nicole Leffingwell (Ronnie), Kenneth, Elizabeth, James and David Adkins. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren Maveric, Zoey, Max, Jazzy, Paxton, Emme, Hadley, Evie, Axel, Tripp, Roxie and Thomas; one good friend and neighbor Edgar Maynard; nieces and nephews Teresa Bryant, Greg Bryant and Pamela Holley; Close friend Roger Johnson and sister-in-law Connie Saxton.
