Clifford W. Canterbury, Jr., 84, of Ceredo, WV passed away May 24, 2026 at his
home. He was born May 4, 1942, a son of the late Clifford Canterbury Sr. and
Katherine Cole Canterbury. “Buggs”, as he was affectionately called by all who
loved him, grew up in the Ceredo Kenova area, graduated from C-K High School,
and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo. . He served his country
as a medic in the Army and was a graduate of Marshall University. He loved WVU
football, and never missed a game or cheerleading event for his grandchildren
and great grandchildren, he was their biggest fan! Buggs was an avid storyteller and all of his family would gather and listen to his stories, which became tradition. Clifford leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Sharon Parsley Canterbury. He is also survived by 2 brothers, James Canterbury (Marcella) and Larry Canterbury (LaDonna); 2 daughters, Tonja Eplion and Terri Adkins (Matthew); 3 granddaughters, Ashley Parker (Tave), Erica Dean, and
Sharon Makinzy Smith; 5 great grandchildren, Ella Parker, Brooks Parker, Maddox Parker, Amauri Holmes, and Kenny Holmes; along with many other friends and family.

Montie Rull Adkins, 72, passed away on January 3, 2023. He was born December 20, 1950 a son of the late Robert and Dorothy Adkins. In addition to his parents’ he was preceded in death by sisters Deanna Adkins, sister Dianna Adkins, brother Charles Adkins, brother Gene Adkins, sister Andria McSorley, brother Don Adkins and sister Carolyn Rickman.
Larry Keith Young, 66, of Kenova, WV. passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at hie home. Graveside service will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Hillcrest Cemetery. He was born July 17, 1956 in Rush, Ky. a son of the late Clyde Young, Sr. and the late Julia George Young. In addition to his parents’ he was preceded in a brother, Clyde Young, Jr. and sister, Ruby Gail Young. Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law Teresa Mannon (Jerry) and Brenda Young; sister-in-law Laura Young; one aunt and uncle Dottie and Junior Meade; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great nephews. Brenda Joyce Dishman McCoy,74, of Ceredo, WV. passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2023 by Pastor Rodney Dishman at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Brenda was born July 28, 1948 in Kenova, WV., a daughter of the late Paul and Eula Mae Brown Dishman. She was a graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Pamela Sue Hensley and a brother Larry Paul Dishman. She is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law Rodney Dale and Mary Dishman, Mark A. and Joyce Dishman and Timothy D, and Carmen Dishman and several nieces and nephews. James Earl “Buck” Leist, 71, of Kenova, WV. passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Buck was born October 31, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan a son of the late Earl Leist and the late Betty Lou Perry Wellman. He was a member of the Buena Vista Lodge #60 and the Scottish Rite Lodge of Huntington. Buck was a retired Foreman from the Ohio River Terminal. Berl Bruce Pack, 85, of Ceredo, WV. passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with Pastor Mark Roach officiating. Bruce was born April 25, 1937 in Wayne a son of the late Frank and Erie Smith Pack. He was a member of the Dock’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver from Marathon Petroleum. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his precious daughter Pamela Renee Pack Osborne; two brothers Merrill Pack and William Pack and a sister Delores Robertson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Judy Akers Pack; a son and daughter-in-law Ronald Pack (Cathy); siblings Loretta Wallace, Lola Mae Finnell, Peggy Wallace, Brenda Pack Maynard, Janice Riley, Bonnie Sue Brown, Marvin Pack, Douglas Pack, Richard Pack and Vera Stiltner. He is also survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roger Akers (Linda); son-in-law Kevin Osborne and two grandchildren Nicholas Allen Osborne and Rebecca Arlene Osborne. Barbara Ann Shingleton Riddle, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Friday, April 8, 2022. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church of which she was a member. Interment will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery. Barbara was born January 16, 1934 in Ashland, Ky. a daughter of the late Donald and Jennie Shingleton. She was a 1952 graduate of Ashland High School and worked for the Ashland Telephone Company for five years. She married Lawrence D. Riddle in 1956. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Shingleton and three sisters and a brother-in-law Shirley Clark, Mary Lyons and Donna Tackett (Fred). She leaves her beloved husband Lawrence D. Riddle; two children Gregory Riddle (Leeann), Holly Kelley (James); one grandson Blaine Kelley and a brother-in-law Jerry Clark. She also leaves many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a church or charity of your choice.
